PRE-SCHOOL

Learning can truly be fun and exhilarating when one is a part of LAKE VIEW PUBLIC Pre-School. We offer several opportunities to our young minds to explore, ponder, discover, reflect and innovate. The uniquely designed curriculum aims at fostering a healthy, safe, conducive, and stimulating environment for the holistic development of each child. Our enthusiastic learners aged 3 to 5 years acquire and develop multitudinous skills in all the domains- physical and motor, language, cognitive, social, and emotional which enriches their imaginative, intellectual, and aesthetic abilities and enhances their innate capabilities.

An integrated approach is followed where eight pedagogies of teaching (for example Early Years Programme, Maria Montessori, Friedrich Froebel, Howard Gardener) are adapted in a well-balanced manner, with the curriculum aiming for holistic development.

Age-appropriate and multi-dimensional activities lay a strong foundation in building concepts and strengthening competencies and preparing our young minds to leap forward with confidence.

PRIMARY SCHOOL

We firmly believe that knowledge is actively constructed by the student – not passively absorbed from the textbook. Thus, in the primary classes (Grades 1 – 5) ‘ hands–on’ learning plays a vital role in forming lifelong learning competencies.

In accordance with the CBSE curriculum, suggested by the Board, activities, and lessons are planned according to the fourfold interests of the children – conversation or communication, inquiry or finding out things, making things or construction, and artistic expression. ‘Direct Experience’ is the basis for all learning.  The Project Assisted Method of Instruction is followed which leads to collaborative learning. Thematic teaching takes place when children get complete information on a particular topic.

Keeping in mind the philosophy of the school, ‘Let learning be a joy and teaching a pleasure, field trips to parks and museums, conducting experiments, pursuing a hobby in school, and learning life skills are some ways in which children are exposed to a repertoire of skills and a positive attitude, with a sensitized perspective towards the environment.

We aim to provide holistic and broad-based education, taking into ambit all aspects of child behavior to develop their potential for learning which is lasting.

All efforts are made to incorporate the latest trends in the field of education, to prepare the future generation of learners to meet the challenges of an ever-advancing knowledge-based society and dynamically changing environment.

SECONDARY SCHOOL

Lake View Public School plays a fundamental role in molding the students for Secondary  School. The Middle School (Grades. 6 to 8) and Secondary School (Grades 9 and 10) is a transition channels of intellectual and emotional curiosity. This is a time of sensitivity, expectation, assertion, and questioning. Keeping this in mind, teachers design the curriculum to meet children’s varied intellectual and developmental needs.

‘Graded learning’ provides experiences to the pupils relevant to their strengths, needs, and interests. ‘Project Work’ supplements the theoretical acquisition of knowledge, understanding, and application in every subject area. Educational excursions, nature trails, exploration camps, monsoon treks, and participation in co-curricular activities make the education program a stimulating learning experience for all. Value Education fits into the curriculum designed and offers a holistic approach to education.
